A Minute with Mel Browne – Author. Speaker. Entrepreneur

by | 16 Jun 2019

We spent a minute with Melissa Browne, financial wizard, author, speaker, entrepreneur.

What’s your superpower?

“I think being able to take complex issues and really simplified them. I think that’s something that I’m able to do.”

Motto to live by or the best piece of advice you ever received?

“The motto I live by would be to design the life you love. So, I am purposely childfree. I live part of my week in the Blue Mountains and part of my week in the city. The life that I’m living now is not one that I even thought that I had the option to live when I was at school. So, for me, it’s all about designing your ethical life rather than living to society’s norms.”

Something you wish you knew how to do?

“I wish I could sing. I sound like a strangled monkey so I wish I could sing.”

As a fellow Haigs’ chocolate lover I have to ask … Milk or dark chocolate?

“Milk chocolate bullets; a bag of those I could just smash.”

If you could spend one hour talking to someone, living or dead, who would it be?

“Living I would want the power room of Brene Brown, Oprah, Elizabeth Gilbert who are big rock star, strong women but I also wish I could speak to Maya Angelou, my Nanna and my Grandma.”
